The Proposal Manager is also involved in preparatory efforts for bid pursuits, including providing guidance on or participating in pre-bid intelligence gathering efforts. While the majority of assignments are to fill the role of proposal manager on bids, this person may be called on to support a bid effort in another role (e.g., contributing writer, management approach writer, corporate capabilities statements, etc.). The position is responsible to manage multiple captures and proposals simultaneously while customizing application of best practices to the unique needs of each bid, monitor effectiveness of capture and proposal processes and tools, and recommend revisions to ensure continuous improvement. The position will work with a diverse team in responding to a variety of solicitations for both contracts and grants, focusing on securing new business from priority United States Government (USG) customers including USAID, USDA; and MCC, and contributing to securing new business from non-USG customers as needed. The position reports to the Senior Director, Capture and Proposal Management. International travel may be required up to 20% of the time. - Master's degree required in Marketing, Communications, English, International Development or Business or related field. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of the advanced degree required. - Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in capture and proposal management with emphasis on federal government procurement, preferably USAID. The salary range for this position is $70,349 to $91,362;  candidate's relevant experience and skills, as well as our internal equity, will be considered before an offer is extended.

In this role, the Director will provide technical support across the ACDI/VOCA Group (ACDI/VOCA, Tanager, and AV Ventures) to increase access to, and facilitate usage of, financial services in our global initiatives, projects, and proposals. This person will join a dynamic group exploring the frontiers of impact investing, blended finance, and innovative finance. The Catalyzing Investment team provides technical support to projects with a value of over $150M and impact investing fund management oversight of over $40M of Assets Under Management.   This position will support two mutually reinforcing work streams: the blended finance impact funds managed by AV Ventures (AVV) LLC (ACDI/VOCA’s investment management subsidiary), and ACDI/VOCA’s financial services and investment facilitation work in the Catalyzing Investment Team. This is in recognition of ACDI/VOCA’s commitment to promoting innovative finance and financial inclusion through the combined impact of AVV and ACDI/VOCA, where AVV's investment activities leverage ACDI/VOCA's development programs, and ACDI/VOCA programs leverage the investment capacity of AV Ventures.   Duties and responsibilities will fall under four categories that reinforce the goal of combined impact: - guidance and oversight of AVVs’ local investment management efforts and teams (40%). - project-level technical support (approximately 20%). - new business development and design, especially at the intersection of blended finance and investment facilitation (approximately 25%). - organization-wide learning, tool development, and other related initiatives (approximately 15%). The position will report to Sr. Vice President, Catalyzing Investment. - Master’s degree required in business administration, finance, economics, international development, or related field. - Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience, including overseas work, in finance, investment, and/or international development required, plus two (2) years of managerial. - Ability and willingness to travel internationally required; may be required to be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 based on country requirements. As part of the Gender, Youth, and Social Inclusion (GYSI) Team in the Technical Learning and Application (TLA) Division, the Technical Director will provide support to the ACDI/VOCA Family of Companies (ACDI/VOCA, Tanager, and AV Ventures) on positive youth development, gender equality, female empowerment, and social inclusion in agriculture, climate change, food security, market systems development, access to finance, nutrition-sensitive agriculture, and related sectors. The Technical Director will report to the Vice President, Gender and Social Inclusion and will manage staff members that are assigned to report to this position. Duties and responsibilities will fall under four operational categories: technical support and services (approximately 40%), new business development and design (approximately 30%), organization-wide learning and resource development (approximately 15%), and management of staff (approximately 15%).   - Master’s degree required in international development, international studies, gender studies, behavioral or agricultural economics, agronomy, sociology or other related field preferred. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of advanced degree. - Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience, including overseas work, in international development or related field. - Ability and willingness to travel internationally required; may be required to be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 based on country requirements. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of advanced degree - Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience in information systems; and/or knowledge management/strategy, plus two (2) years managerial experience. - Ability and willingness to travel internationally required up to 20%; may be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 based on country requirements. The salary range for this position is $100,936 to $150,748; candidate's relevant experience and skills, as well as our internal equity, will be considered before an offer is extended.
